A visit to the beautiful and carefully restored Bascobel in Garrison, NY. Our tour guide was perhaps the best guide ever for a historic residence. She kept us enthralled with her knowledge of the family who had built and lived in the house, their carefully chosen furnishings and all this with the eye of an artist.
