One of the things I like best about living in the West Village of New York City is the history all around me. The stories these buildings could tell and the people who have lived here intrigue me daily. The design of the streets is just plain crazy. They actually follow the paths made by cows in the 18th century and have become our streets today. Some retain their original cobblestones. Here are some beauties that have been lost over the years. Once they are gone, you can’t bring them back!
